The Prize for Degree and Doctoral Theses officially presented to the winner, Dr Enrico Maiero
On the occasion of the 24th Annual Conference, the Prize for Degree and Doctoral Theses — established by the SSTeF thanks to the funding received from ARLeF for the three-year period 2022–2024 and awarded in the early months of 2025 — was officially presented.
The winner of the first edition of the prize is Dr Enrico Maiero, who entered and won first prize with his doctoral dissertation, accompanied by a summary in Friulian of the original work of outstanding quality.
Enrico Maiero, who read Physics at the University of Trieste, was awarded his doctorate in Polar Sciences at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice in the early months of 2025.
The prize established by the SSTeF has been awarded

The Societât Sientifiche e Tecnologjiche Furlane’s Prize for Degree or Doctoral Theses — established by the SSTeF thanks also to the funding of ARLeF and the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia — has been awarded to a young Friulian scholar.
The winner entered with his doctoral research and thesis.
The Prize for Degree or Doctoral Theses established by the SSTeF is intended to recognise and reward the abilities of deserving students and young scholars and researchers who use the Friulian language to communicate the results of their research.
For the first editions, on a transitional basis, applications are also accepted from graduates or research doctors who have written their thesis in a language other than Friulian, provided that, alongside the thesis, they submit a summary of it (no longer than 15 standard pages) written in Friulian and using the official spelling.

There is time until 1.00 pm on Saturday 24 May 2025 to submit an application for the competition for the award of the Societât Sientifiche e Tecnologjiche Furlane’s Prize for Degree or Doctoral Theses.
The SSTeF, thanks to the funding of ARLeF and the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, has established a Prize for Degree or Doctoral Theses, intended to recognise and reward the abilities of deserving students and young scholars and researchers who use the Friulian language to communicate the results of their research. On a transitional basis, applications are also accepted from graduates or research doctors who have written their thesis in Italian or in English, provided that they submit a summary of it (no longer than 15 standard pages) written in the Friulian language, in the official spelling.

There is time until Wednesday 18 December 2024 to submit an application under the call for the Societât Sientifiche e Tecnologjiche Furlane’s Prize for Degree or Doctoral Theses, which has been re-announced.

There is time until Monday 29 July 2024 to submit an application under the call for the Societât Sientifiche e Tecnologjiche Furlane’s Prize for Degree or Doctoral Theses.
The SSTeF, thanks to the funding of ARLeF and the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, has established a Prize for Degree or Doctoral Theses of 250 (two hundred and fifty) euros, intended to recognise and reward the abilities of deserving students and young scholars and researchers who use the Friulian language to communicate the results of their research.
On a transitional basis, should no applications be received within the prescribed deadlines, the prize will be announced anew.
